What we do

The work that counts happens before the truck shows up.

We look at the site, the grade and where water will go. We prepare the base and set the forms. Only then do we pour, finish and give the concrete the time it needs to harden. We do not rush it.

Our slabs are 4 inches thick with steel rebar every 24 inches, in a broom finish or a stamped finish, with color if you want it.

  • Driveways and entry walkways
  • Patios, including stamped concrete
  • Slabs and pads for sheds and equipment
  • Removal and replacement of cracked concrete

Built for Redding

Redding heat changes how concrete sets.

High temperatures change how fast concrete hardens. Dry, shifting soil is what makes slabs settle and crack. We plan for both with a properly prepared base, joints that control where the slab can crack, and a surface sloped to carry water away from the house.

  • Light foot traffic after about 24 to 48 hours
  • Wait around 7 days before driving on it
  • Properly installed concrete can last for decades

Questions

Concrete: common questions.

How much does concrete cost in Redding, CA?

It depends on the size of the area, the site, the preparation needed, access and the finish. The honest way to price it is to see it, so the estimate is free and done on site.

How long does concrete last?

Properly installed concrete can last for decades. How long depends on the base preparation, drainage, soil and how the slab is used.

When can I walk or drive on new concrete?

Light foot traffic is usually fine after about 24 to 48 hours. Wait around 7 days before driving on it. It keeps gaining strength after that.

Does concrete crack over time?

Small cracks can appear even in a good slab. A properly prepared base, planned joints and good drainage are what keep them small and few.

Do you remove old concrete before pouring new?

Yes. When concrete is cracked, uneven or damaged, we take it out, prepare the base again and pour new.
